DuNow is a task planner made by Red Sun Digital ("we"). This page explains what information DuNow keeps, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: your tasks are yours, we don't sell them, and we don't show you ads based on them.
What DuNow stores
Your tasks and plan. Task names, notes, checklists, locations and meeting links, categories and their colors, priorities, repeat settings, reminders, completion and skip history, snoozes, the times you said tasks took and when you finished them, your free-time and time-bucket hours and your settings.
Your account. You sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple, a link we email you, or a password. We store your email address (and, if you use Google, Facebook or Apple, the basic profile details they share: your name and, from Google or Facebook, your picture) so you can sign in and see your tasks on every device. Your tasks are saved on your device and with our database provider under your account.
The demo on our homepage uses sample tasks held only in your browser while you look around. Nothing you do there is saved or sent to us.
Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply, plus a scrambled form of your IP address used only to stop spam.
Suggestions and bug reports. If you sign in on the roadmap to suggest a feature, vote, or report a bug, we keep what you wrote and your votes with your account. A bug report also keeps any screenshots you attach and your browser's description of your device (its user agent), so we can reproduce the problem. Screenshots are private and only DuNow's reviewers can see them.
Crash reports. If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends us a report so we can fix it: the error message, where in DuNow's code it happened, the app version, your device or browser type and its system version, the app screens you opened and the requests it made to our server just before, and a random ID for the install so we can tell how many people a crash affects. Reports never include your tasks or anything you typed, your email or account, your IP address, or screenshots, and quoted text is blanked out of error messages before they leave your device.
On your device only: look-and-feel choices such as light or dark mode, colors, and whether you've seen the tour.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information, share your tasks with advertisers, or use them to profile you. DuNow doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add ads to a free version in future, we'll update this policy first and keep your task content out of them.
Who processes your data for us
Supabase hosts DuNow's database and sign-in. Cloudflare hosts this website. Sentry receives the crash reports described above and keeps them for up to 90 days. We use an email provider to send sign-in emails and deliver contact form messages, and Google, Facebook (Meta) or Apple if you choose to sign in with one of them. They handle your data only to run DuNow for us.
Reminders
On the phone app, reminders are scheduled on your phone from your own plan. They don't go through our servers. Tapping Done or Snooze on a reminder updates your plan the same way as doing it in the app.
Speaking a task
If you tap the mic in Quick add, your phone or browser turns what you say into text. Where it can, that happens on your device. If it can't, its own speech service (from Google, Apple or Microsoft) may receive the audio, and DuNow tells you before the first time. DuNow never receives or keeps the audio, only the text you choose to save.
Keeping it safe
Data travels over encrypted connections. Each account can only read its own tasks: the database blocks access to anyone else's.
Your choices
You can edit or delete any task in the app at any time. To delete your account and everything stored with it, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete my account. It's removed straight away and can't be undone. You can also email [email protected] from the address on your account and we'll do it within 30 days, or ask us for a copy of your data. If you signed in with Facebook or Apple, you can also remove DūNow from the apps connected to your Facebook or Apple account; that stops it signing you in, and deleting your account as above removes what we stored.
Children
DuNow isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll let account holders know in the app or by email.
